Liam Donnelly on leading Streamline Swimming as Director of Swimming, how he matches swimmers with college programs, and what the new swim site offers swimmers, families, and coaches.
Streamline Swimming has a new home: our website is now live, here at swim.streamlineathletes.com. It is an immense honour to lead Streamline Swimming as the Director of Swimming.
This role brings together two things I care deeply about: young swimmers chasing their dream of competing at the collegiate level, and the coaches working every day to build great teams. My job is to connect them, and to do it well!
My role is to know the landscape and understand both sides. On one side is the dream of the young student-athlete and the family supporting them. On the other is the vision of the high-performance coach and their committed varsity team. The best outcomes happen where those two meet in sync, and flourish.
For swimmers and families: Choosing a university is a major milestone. It isn't just about times and rankings; it's about finding a team where you'll be challenged and supported, a coach who believes in you, and an academic foundation for your future. Parents and families are a crucial part of that journey, and I want to help guide you all through it.
For college coaches and programs: Recruiting is about more than just adding fast swimmers. You've built a culture, set program goals, and offer degrees you're proud of. The right recruit fits all of those pieces. I want to help you find swimmers who will thrive within your team culture and elevate your program for years to come.
There are so many fantastic universities, teams, and coaches out there. My goal is to help everyone find the right fit, efficiently and accurately.
College (or “university”) is a transformational time of life. Young adults build an academic foundation while forming their identity and character. The team they join and the school they choose have an impact on who they become, both in and out of the pool. Getting that match right is a privilege, and I take this responsibility very seriously.

It's built to be clean, clear, and rich with resources for swimmers, families, and coaches at every step of the process. Whether you're a swimmer just starting to explore university options or a coach planning your next recruiting class, it's designed for you.

Streamline Athletes started with track and field and grew into an industry leader in under a decade. That success came from genuinely caring about athletes and coaches alike, and from executing on the details. We're bringing that exact same expertise and energy to swimming, and I'm proud to build on this foundation.
